Power 90 W7D3 Day 45 Sculpt 1-2

I really struggled during today's workout. It hurt, all over and I felt sick. I will say that I am feeling more comfortable in the workout and I'm doing it all with no modifications now so I know that I'm ready for the switch up to 3-4 but I'm also terrified about it!

I have noticed that the scales aren't dropping anywhere near as fast as they used to...I've only lost 1kg since day 30! It could be because I had a bad few days last week with my husband's birthday and travelling down South but I think it's just that middle 30 days where little happens. I'm hanging on for the last 30 days where the magic happens! ;)

Finally...totally off topic but I hit 50,000 words and won NaNoWriMo last night! :D

Power 90 W7D2 Day 44 Sweat 1-2

This was my first workout with nooooo modifications at all! I'm so proud of myself, I made it through without any major problems. I really think my fitness is increasing and that's awesome. Less than two weeks till we make the move up to 3-4 and I think I'm definitely ready. I'm glad that I gave myself to opportunity to really master these routines before moving up, although I do feel a bit like I'm dogging it now because they're almost too easy. I had a plan, though, and I'm sticking to it. :)

Power 90 W7D1 Day 43 Sculpt 1-2

Week seven, can you believe it! I wanted to either skip this workout or put it off till tonight because I hurt so much but my husband insisted. Thank goodness for him! I can tell that if it wasn't for his influence, I would've stopped by now. I'm so glad he's doing this with me. This is the part of Power 90 where I normally drop off so I'm really pleased to still be going. Even though I still don't WANT to work out and Damien's the one getting me to push play, I always enjoy it and I'm always glad I did it. :)

Not long to go till day 60 and then day 90 after that. I can't wait to see my 60 day pics but I'm most excited about the 90 day pics because I've always been told that the last 30 days is where the magic really happens...I've just never managed to get there! ;)

Power 90 W6D7 Day 42 Kayaking

Our taekwon-do was cancelled this week which freed up our Sunday. Yesterday my husband had gone for a kayak together, it was all well and good heading down the canals with the wind and the tide to our backs but paddling back was...well...a b!tch. I was soooo sore afterwards but when were asked if we wanted to go back out again today, we stupidly said yes. Off we paddled and this time we did the big circle around to get back to the house. Firstly...we were kayaking with the tide to begin with but when we got out to the Estuary, we were against the wind and it was haaaaaard. I can't even tell you how slowly I was going (everyone had to keep stopping and waiting for me), eventually we made it back to the canal and got back home, then enjoyed the hot tub for awhile to ease our aching muscles!

Up side? Lots of exercise. Down side? Both my husband and I look like lobsters, we are soooo sunburnt. All down my arms and my legs from my upper thighs down to my feet, the back of my neck and the lower half of my face (I was wearing sunglasses and a hat). I'm so unhappy with myself because I'm very pale and normally take great care not to get sunburnt after years of getting burnt every summer when I was younger. I'm also just generally unhappy because I hurt all over!

My eating has also been fairly terrible these last two days. Well, actually, it started Friday when I was supposed to take my husband out to dinner for his birthday, we got home from taekwon-do a bit later than expected and I call the restaurant only to find their kitchen closes at 8pm and that was the latest booking...pssssh. So we ended up getting pizza and watching a show together. We both felt like crap afterwards. Then Saturday we went down South and stayed with the in-laws, great food but a bit more carb-heavy than I would've liked. I also drank Pepsi cans they had down there and in hindsight I should've stuck to water! Today we started out with a cooked breakfast down there, then I headed up to my cousin's little girl's first birthday party and they had a barbecue. The food was great but again, it was a barbecue so it was a bit greasy and I probably had too much of THE BEST POTATO SALAD EVER.

Still, I'm not going to beat myself up about it because I had a great weekend with family and friends. I wouldn't change it for the world. Oh, I almost forgot! I woke up today at 4:20am (you know how it is when you're sleeping in a strange bed) and about 4:40am, I got a text from a friend over East saying "OMG I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!". This girl has been on IVF for a few months now, so I was super happy for her. I'd been reading an ebook on my phone at the time and saw the message come through, before I could even reply it was swiftly followed by an "OMG YOU'RE THREE HOURS BEHIND!!!!!!!". I just wanted to acknowledge here that as much as I enjoyed everything else that happened yesterday and had the BEST time last night talking to Kersty and Bec and everyone else at the party, this remained the best part of my day. I'm so happy for her because I've watched her struggle first with trying to get pregnant, then finding out she needed IVF and then three failed cycles before this one. I won't name her but I know she reads this blog and so I wanted to write this for her just so she knows how happy we all are for her. *hugs*

Power 90 W6D6 Day 41 Sweat 1-2

Again today I felt that I wasn't being pushed by this workout anymore. This was my last workout with any kind of rest/modifications though, so I'll be interested to see how I go next week when I start doing the whole routine with no modifications at all. I'm excited and also terrified...mostly about that first set after the Power Yoga, my arms KILL after doing all those up dogs, by the end of PY my arms are shaaaaaking and then we go straight into knees up and having my arms in the air the whole time is going to hurt. I can't wait. :D

We're going down to Mandurah for the weekend to spend time with my husband's father and step-mother. It should be nice, we'll do a bit of swimming so some incidental exercise there! We're also hoping to go on this aquatic park thingy, it's hard to explain (I'll see if I can get a photo and post it when I get back) but it's these blow-up floaty things and you have to pull yourself up out of the water using your arms strength. I tried two years ago and had zero luck so I can't wait to try again and see if I'm getting any stronger with Power 90! ;)

Power 90 W6D5 Day 40 Sculpt 1-2

Good workout, big news...I DID ALL OF THE 7-7-7S ON MY TOES!!!!!!!!!!!! They probably didn't look very pretty, especially the close push-ups, but I'm working on them. I'm ready for the move to 3-4 in two weeks' time but I'm glad that I stuck to my plan and held off so I have had the time to really master these workouts which is something I don't think I would've been able to do if I'd moved up when I was "supposed to" lol! I think this whole thing is mental as well as physical and having a distinct plan for time frames of moving up workouts rather than throwing myself into the deep end with them has helped me.

Then again, I'm the kind of person that when I had personal trainers, I got the best results from the ones that said "do X amount of reps". If they said "no, I won't tell you how many, just keep going till I say stop", I got tired a lot quicker because I have to have an absolute goal. If they said "do 15 reps", I would aim for that goal and punish myself to get there even if I was hurting by rep 10 because I knew that when I got rep 15 I could stop whereas if they said "just go till I say stop", I would be tired as anything by about rep 6...totally psychosomatic, because I had no goal my brain said "you can't do this" and my body got tired.

Not quite sure where this post was going, it went off on a tangent there lmao! We were supposed to go to a restaurant tonight but we were a bit late for our reservation by the time we got home from taekwon-do and when I called to move it back to 8:30pm they said the kitchen was closing at 8pm, how rude! So we ended up ordering pizza and both felt disgusting afterwards. Oh well, it was a special day and we don't eat like crap often.

Also...Lego Harry Potter is awesome. ;)

Power 90 W6D4 Day 39 Rest Day

We took a rest day on today. Overall I've decided I don't mind taking a rest day on a Sweat day because the taekwon-do session on my supposed normal rest day is so hardcore. I feel like 79kgs is going to be like 80kgs, I'm hovering and not dropping into the 78kgs range. It's frustrating me but I have to keep remembering that I am building muscle which is a good thing. Tomorrow is my husband's birthday so I went and got Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 and Arkham City for his birthday. I can't wait to play them! ;P

Wednesday 23 November 2011

Power 90 W6D3 Day 38 Sculpt 1-2

I did NOT want to work out this morning. We went and saw John Farnham, an awesome singer/comedian (seriously, the show was unexpectedly hilarious!) last night, so we didn't get to bed till almost midnight. As a result, I was tired as all get out this morning and I could've easily skipped today's workout. I was thinking about options for pushing the workout back a day or something but my husband got up and I was thinking "put on your workout clothes, put on your workout clothes" because I knew that if he did that, I would workout. Sure enough he did. Then I dithered a bit getting changed and came out, he had the P90 queued and ready to go but I tell you what, he had to "push play" today both figuratively and literally. I couldn't do it. It actually turned into an awesome workout, he upped his weights and I was inspired by his commitment to work harder myself. I even managed 4 close push-ups on my toes...3 more to add in!

Tuesday 22 November 2011

Power 90 W6D2 Day 37 Sweat 1-2

This morning's was an average workout to be honest. I actually feel like I'm not getting as much out of this workout as I used to and I could theoretically switch to 3-4 now, I think. I'm not going to, though. I always had a plan to do the 1-2 videos for 8 weeks and I'm sticking to my plan. I only have two more weeks after this on the 1-2 videos and I think those weeks will be crucial in ensuring that I can do the entire video without modifying it before I move up which will make transitioning easier for me.

Monday 21 November 2011

Power 90 W6D1 Day 36 Sculpt 1-2

Great workout this morning but wow, did I feel nauseous! I actually was dry retching during the two-arm kickbacks, I am not even kidding. By the end of the last set, I was feeling wretched and it took me about ten minutes after the workout to stop feeling sick. I feel like I had a great workout though and I got 3.5 of the close push-ups on my toes, working up to doing all 7 slowly but surely by adding 1 push-up each workout!

I also weighed 79.4kgs this morning so yesterday's weigh-in wasn't a total fluke, it also means that I've lost exactly 8kgs since I had my first hypnotherapy session in September. I'm so pleased! I can't wait to get back to my wedding weight of 76kgs and then down to 73.7kgs which is the lowest I got down to in March the month before the wedding which was also the lowest I'd weighed in years. I am so incredibly happy and at such a great point in my life, I've got all these goals that I'm working towards and it's awesome. :D

Sunday 20 November 2011

Power 90 W5D7 Day 35 Rest Day

Today's taekwon-do session was cancelled so we ended up having a second rest day this week! Not much else to say really. My BeachBody Shakeology arrived on Friday so I've been having that this weekend. I've actually been mixing it with a bit less water a more ice and eating it as chocolate ice cream...it feels so naughty having it for breakfast! I think during the week I'll have to have it as a drink for time constraints, though.

Really big news today, I FINALLY CRACKED THE 70S!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been dancing around it for a couple of weeks and I think I was bloated because it's that time of the month but this morning I weighed 79.5kgs, woohoo! I've been getting kind of down about still being in the 80s so I'm super happy. I actually weighed myself three times to make sure it wasn't a fluke! :D

Saturday 19 November 2011

Power 90 W5D6 Day 34 Sweat 1-2

Great stuff, not a lot to say. I've only got one more week now until I have to do the entire workout with no modifications...I live in fear lol! I think from there, the move up to Swear 3-4 will actually be a bit of a relief because I'll have that one set break with full modifications between the exercise changes. Only three weeks till day sixty!

On a more personal note, today was an awesome girl date day with my best friend! I did my workout and then drove to her house. We then went and got our hair done, from there we had dinner (Nando's!) which we took to her Mum's place and chatted with her Mum for about half an hour, then drove to the cinema and watched Breaking Dawn. She'd only just gotten back from a taekwon-do tournament in Hong Kong and I hadn't seen her all week which sucked so we had lots of catching up to do! After that we went back to her place and chatted some more, then Skyped a friend in Scotland for a chat. Best. Day. Ever. :D

Friday 18 November 2011

Power 90 W5D5 Day 33 Sculpt 1-2

Today's was a good workout. I'm feeling stronger and my form is coming back after the increase in weights. I also managed 2.5 close push-ups on my toes, woohoo! I also didn't scream during the 7-7-7 push-ups which is a new first and no swearing during the chair dips, either...progress!

Thursday 17 November 2011

Power 90 W5D4 Day 32 Rest Day/Breaking Dawn

I went to a midnight screening of Breaking Dawn on last night/this morning and I didn't get home till 3am, there was no way I was waking up at 5:15am to work out. I had the day off work but I went and saw Breaking Dawn again (with a different friend!) and went shopping. By the time I got home, I was just wrecked and the Sweat workout didn't happen. I don't feel too bad about missing it because I don't normally have a rest day at all so I'm okay with that.

Wednesday 16 November 2011

Power 90 W5D3 Day 31 Sculpt 1-2

My first day towards day 60 is completed! Today's workout wasn't so bad that I wished harm upon myself during it, so I must be getting stronger! At the same time, it hurt like hell. It's odd, I hurt SO MUCH but I also felt strong enough to keep going which was nice. I also managed 1.5 of the close push-ups on my toes, an improvement on half a push-up (I got down on my toes but couldn't push back up lol) last time. I think I can work on it and get it to all 7 on my toes in the next three weeks so I can go into the 3-4 workouts strong. :D

Something I noticed when I was looking at my day 30 photos is that my posture has changed dramatically. My hips have rotated under me so everything's more in aligment and I'm not hunched forward as much as I was. Bring on day 60!

Tuesday 15 November 2011

Power 90 W5D2 Day 30 Sweat 1-2!!!!!

It was a good workout today, my first with doing 20 seconds of the second set and it was tough but fun. I'm freaking out because in two weeks I've got to do it all with no modifications and then two more weeks till 3-4, eep!

Anyway, I did my measurements and photos today. I'm a bit bummed because the photos were taken slightly closer so they don't show as much of a difference as I'd like since I look bigger lol! I've noticed that errrr, how do I put this? My fat is getting looser? I hold my stomach in nearly all the time now, it's more comfortable than letting it hang. Like, I'll force my abs to relax when I'm looking in the mirror and then I realise that it takes more effort than keeping them partially tensed all the time if that makes sense? It probably doesn't, but aaaaanyhoo...

Without further ado, here are my measurements and pics!

Power 90 W5D1 Day 29 Sculpt 1-2

Week five, baby!!! Today's workout was hell, it was horrible. I was sweating like anything and you're going to start thinking I'm crazy because this time during the second set I had this thought "if Damien hits me in the head during the back flys, I could get out of the rest of this workout!". I mean, I didn't WANT to get hit in the head with 4kg weights but I desperately wanted to stop the workout it was that bad lol. Needless to say he didn't hit me in the head and I didn't stop, I pushed on through and it was pretty much an awesome workout but it hurt and it took all my strength and willpower to keep going!

I'm going to be doing my measurements and photos tomorrow. I know that a lot of people wait until day 31 but I've decided I'm just going to do it on the day. If I lose a day this time, I'll gain it next time. :)

Sunday 13 November 2011

Power 90 W4D7 Day 28 Oz Power

So I did taekwon-do today and burnt about 500 calories so I was pleased with myself. My black belt thesis is going to be on the effects of weight loss on taekwon-do so as part of that, we did the Power 90 fitness test during our session. I managed, count them folks, ONE HUNDRED IN & OUTS...OHHHHHH YEEEEAH!!! My first goal was 65, dunno why it was a totally arbitrary number, then when I got near that I thought "75, I can do 75." then when I got to 75 I was like "hey, only 25 more and I'm at 100!". Down side? I have to beat that next time! ;)

My abs are soooooo sore lol! Good news is, we are back on the wagon. Our eating today has been exemplary and went to taekwon-do as planned. I see yesterday as a blip on the radar but not a major stumble. :D

Saturday 12 November 2011

Power 90 W4D6 Day 27 Unintentional Rest Day

I have a confession to make...I missed today's Sweat 1-2 workout...eep! I don't know what happened but we just kept putting it off and eventually it didn't happen. I don't feel too bad about it because I haven't had a rest day at all up until this point but I don't want to make it a habit. We MUST going to taekwon-do tomorrow and get back on the wagon.

Here's the kicker, though...we also had McDonald's for lunch. Not their healthy menu but a quarter pounder with cheese meal and a caramel sundae. You may kill me now! We're not going to make a habit of that, either. We both felt like crap afterwards and it turns out that our bodies just can't handle that crap anymore as proven by the fact that we both took a FIVE HOUR NAP afterwards in order to digest it! I don't know how much damage it will have done, I had a massive stomach ache and it seemed to go right through me. Poor, little body, you do so much for me and look at what I do to you! :(

I wish I didn't have to come here and tell you guys this but I had to be honest!

Friday 11 November 2011

Power 90 W4D5 Day 26 Sculpt 1-2

Here's a terrifying thought, I'm doing photos next week! Four days, eep! Next week is when the BeachBody system tells me I should move up in the workouts. I'm not switching to 3-4 until day 60, though, but I've always had a 180 day plan for P90/P90 Masters. I upped my weights today on the "light" exercises to 8.8lbs and this phrase came out of my mouth during the Lawnmower exercise at the beginning of the last set, "f*ck, I want to kill myself." I was in sooooo much pain, but in a good way! :P

Thursday 10 November 2011

Power 90 W4D4 Day 25 Sweat 1-2

My how time flies! 25 days in already, wowsers! Only 5 days and 4 workouts till my day 30 photos. I had a not so great day yesterday after I posted. For the first time, I caved and had a box of Maltesers. From about a third of the way in, I felt horribly sick but I forced myself to eat the rest. I know, I know, that sounds crazy but you know how parents will force their kid to smoke a whole packet of cigarettes to turn them off it? Well I wanted to feel wretched so the next time I even THINK about having Maltesers, I can remember how horrible I felt yesterday. Suffice it to say, it wasn't an enjoyable experience, oddly enough, I used to be able to eat a box of Maltesers in the morning and another one in the afternoon! It didn't do too much damage on the scale, I've "gained" 0.4kgs since my weigh-in day of Tuesday.

Aaaaaanyhoo, moving onwards and upwards. Today's workout was pretty good, I burnt 302 calories and got my calorie burn up to a high of 8.1 calories per minute. I'm fairly happy with that! From next week, I'll be doing 20 seconds of the second set...I hurt already lol!

Wednesday 9 November 2011

Power 90 W4D3 Day 24 Sculpt 1-2

This morning I did NOT want to work out. Thank goodness for my husband because I was seriously formulating my post in my head saying how I'd just skipped this one workout because I was so tired and didn't I deserve a day off since I don't have rest days! Luckily my husband got up and got his workout clothes on, so I joined him and we'd already started the workout when I told him I hadn't wanted to do it and he said "I didn't really want to do it, either." but by then we'd started and we might as well keep going lol! I upped my weights on the "heavy" exercises from 8.8lbs to 11lbs and experienced a fresh kind of hell during the workout! Oddly enough, I burnt 30 less calories than the other day, go figure. Less than a week to day 30!

Tuesday 8 November 2011

Power 90 W4D2 Day 23 Sweat 1-2

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually kind of looking forward to taking the day 30 pictures...I'm seriously hoping they'll show a difference of some kind because even though I spend all day hitching my pants up, I haven't gone down a size yet...stupid elasticated waist bands, they shrink as well as stretch! :P

Today's workout was a good one, burned 305 calories this time with a max calorie burn of 8.4 calories per minute. I was completely knackered by the end of it, though. In other news, as you all know, I'm a daily weigher and I weigh myself on the Wii Fit which shows your BMI first. All week, I've been waiting to get my BMI under 31 and today when 30.98 popped up, I had a "WTF?!?" moment thinking it had gone UP again before realising it had gone down lmao! That .98 threw me off. Anyway, yes, that's my small excitement for today, my BMI is officially under 31! Now I'm working towards under 30 which will make me "overweight" rather than "obese", w00t w00t! :D

Monday 7 November 2011

Power 90 W4D1 Day 22 Sculpt 1-2

Woohoo, today's workout is done and it was a good start to week four! I tell you what, I am so glad my husband is doing this with me because I could definitely have skipped today eeeeeeasily! It hurt, so very much. During our taekwon-do session yesterday we did a total of 60 push-ups so that first set today was pure agony! I can't believe I'm up to week four, already. This is the point where I would normally fall off the wagon but I'm feeling strong and having someone doing it with me makes it that much easier. No excuses. :D

Sunday 6 November 2011

Power 90 W3D7 Day 21 Oz Power

Okay, to put this session into perspective, I burned 272 calories during Sweat 1-2, whereas I burnt 578 calories during this session and it was actually a fairly light session. 198 of those calories were burnt during the 15 minute warm-up, phew!

I'm still not tempted to change it so that this doesn't count as my "rest day" because for now I think that having a rest day will be what could easily tip me over the edge into a rest week if that makes sense? Or maybe I've come far enough by now that I wouldn't have such a bad reaction. It's just not a risk I want to take at this stage. Only ten days till I take photos and measurements, eek!

I also thought I'd post some information on the Bodybugg to explain what I'm talking about. The following is from their website (here):

The bodybugg system uses a patented process to measure calorie burn.
The process is based on:

Motion: The armband contains an accelerometer that measures motion from multiple perspectives.
Steps: The accelerometer counts steps by measuring the distinct patterns created by running or walking.
Galvanic skin response: When you sweat, your skin becomes more electrically conductive. This measurement helps the device understand how active you are.
Skin temperature: There’s an electronic thermometer inside your armband that monitors how hot you are.
Heat flux: When you move, your muscles produce heat. Your armband measures the heat that’s flowing from your body into the environment.

Power 90 W3D6 Day 20 Sweat 1-2

Well, big news, I got my Bodybugg going for my workout today! I burned 272 calories during Sweat which was lower than my estimate of 300 calories but what is very, very interesting to note is that I wore it all the day before and my resting calorie burn rate seems to be 1.3 calories per minute. It's been about six hours since we did today's workout and it's only come back down to a 1.8 calorie per minute burn. At the peak of Sweat it got up to a 7 calorie per minute burn. I'll let you know how I go with Sculpt on Monday. I'm planning to do Yoga X tomorrow, so I'll be interested to see how much that burns plus I'm hoping I'll get to wear it during tomorrow's 2.5 hour taekwon-do session if I can because I'm extremely curious how much THAT burns! :D

Still writing madly for NaNoWriMo, trying not to let my novel move too much from chick lit into Mills & Boon territory! I'll put a widget up soon with my word count for anyone who's interested.

Power 90 W3D5 Day 19 Sculpt 1-2

Gah! I actually missed a day of posting! I'm doing NaNoWriMo and I'm 16,008 words into my novel so you can see where all my daily writing has disappeared to! :P

Yesterday's was a good workout. I'm still using the same weights but I don't feel ready to move up just yet, maybe next week. I'm so proud of my husband, he worked out every day this week and when he gets up we'll do today's Sweat workout which will complete his first week! Of course, I'm just making him do Power 90 so he can get all buff and look like Tony Horton...or Chris Hemsworth. Just kidding lol! He says he does want to have a great body and feel good about himself, hey, isn't that why anyone tries to lose weight or takes up an exercise regime? It's so much easier working out with a partner, I've found. When you get up in the morning, there's no excuses because someone else has gotten up at stupid o'clock with you to train so you have to bring it!

In other news, my Bodybugg subscription was activated yesterday so I can use my Bodybugg again! Sadly I found out when I was already at work so I wasn't able to wear it for my morning workout or at taekwon-do so I can't tell you how many calories I burnt at either activity but when I come back for Sweat 1-2, I'll let you know how many calories I burnt. Ohhhhh, another thing! I talked to my taekwon-do instructor and on Wednesday, we're doing the Beachbody Fitness Test as part of class so I can record everyone's results for my black belt thesis. :D

Phew, what a long post! I should try not to skip posting daily so I don't have so much to blag on about! :P

Thursday 3 November 2011

Power 90 W3D4 Day 18 Sweat 1-2

Today's is down! I'm feeling strong, everything is looking better. The first half still kicks my behind a bit but the kicks are good. Because I do taekwon-do, I don't get my heart rate up as much during those so I see them more as endurance building. Still waiting on my Bodybugg subscription to become active so I can find out how many calories I'm burning! Still waiting on Shakeology as well. *sigh*

Wednesday 2 November 2011

Power 90 W3D3 Day 17 Sculpt 1-2

Today's workout is done and I'm actually kind of shaky. Sometimes I think about increasing my weights but then I think "are you crazy?!?!?!?". I'm pretty sure I could go heavier weights but I'm not 100% sure, I do think I'll increase for bicep curls and lawnmower at least next week. I'll see how I go.

I always say, the hardest part is pushing play! If you can just do that, then mostly the workouts will be okay and a crap workout is still better than no workout at all! I sent in the forms to get my Bodybugg subscription going again, I want to know 100% how many calories I'm burning during these workouts. I also ordered Shakeology off eBay last week, it still hasn't arrived but hopefully it will get here soon. I'll be using that as a substitute for my morning breakfast. I went to a Thermomix demonstration last night so my diet wasn't 100% perfect, I ate way more carbs than I would like. I know that my diet is never going to be 100% clean and yeah, there are going to be some days that just end up like poop but as long as they're in the minority and most of the time I'm eating well, I can't beat myself up for having some slip ups.

If I just keep pushing play, I'll be fine.

Power 90 W3D2 Day 16 Sweat 1-2

Day 16 is in the can, yippee! Not a great workout but not a bad one, either. Power Yoga was a hot mess but it was also the first week where I begin doing some of the second set "properly". I actually felt strong and like I could've done more but I'm taking it slow to work up to it. I did as much as it took to leave 20 seconds left in the second set of each move, the most was about 14 seconds and the least 9 seconds. In week 5, I'll add more to leave only 10 seconds in each set and in week 6 I start doing the whole thing, no modifications.

I'm looking forward to being able to do more, already I felt better today. There's definitely a good "burn" in the calves when you go straight from the previous set into the second set. On a side note, 6kgs down from where I started 7 weeks ago. Changes are happening, my friends! I'm secretly hoping I'll hit the 70s next week but that's a big ask in one week so realistically it'll probably happen the week after. I can't wait to be out of the 80s, ugh, if I stayed here much longer I'd have to start teasing my hair! :P
